Hi!
I just wanted to say how proud I am of everyone! This has been a challenging time to be away from school, our friends, teachers, and some of our family members, but you all are making the best out of this! Every time you participate in one of the kindness activities, you're showing others that the world is full of caring and thoughtful people! You have been doing so much for others and working so hard that I think today is the perfect time to celebrate YOU! For today's challenge, I would like for you to compliment yourself! Give yourself 3 compliments! Try to come up with something other than what you can see on the outside. Think about what kind of person you are, what makes you special, and what you can offer the world! Write them down and post them somewhere where you can see them every day! Maybe post it by your mirror or next to your closet. Post them somewhere where it can remind you of how AWESOME you are! I will be checking back in after Easter Break with some new challenges! Enjoy your Easter Break! Take some time to relax, do something that you enjoy, maybe catch up on some assignments if needed, and continue to be kind! Ms. LaMorte Good afternoon everyone!
Wow! The time is flying by today! I hope everyone is doing well! Before I announce your next challenge, I have a few things that I want to share! First, I want to thank you all for taking the time out of your busy day to participate and spread kindness throughout your community! Secondly, on Monday, your challenge was to thank your mail carrier by writing them a letter. Today, I heard that someone received a note back from their mail carrier thanking them for their kind words! How sweet and wonderful is that!? You are making a difference! Lately, I have had some more time to read books that I enjoy! My challenge for you today is to make a bookmark and place it in your library book (if you have one). Make sure you keep the bookmark in there when you return it! When the next person checks out that book, they will have a nice surprise! You can draw a picture, write a saying, or just color it! Be creative! If you do not have a library book right now, that is okay! You can still make one and save it for when you check out your next book! You all are doing such an amazing job! I will be back tomorrow with your last challenge before Easter Break! Ms. LaMorte Good morning!
I hope you all are ready for today's new challenge! Today I am challenging you to give back to your community. If you can, consider donating acceptable food items to St. Bede's food pantry! If you are unable to donate sometime this week, that is okay! Instead, you can say a prayer for those families who are need. Sometimes we may not be able to directly give back, but taking the time to think about others is just as important! Keep up the great work! You all are doing awesome! Ms. LaMorte Hi all!
A new week has started which means new kindness challenges to look forward to! I hope everyone was able to relax and rest over the weekend! Last week, we wrote letters to teachers, cheered up neighbors by covering sidewalks with chalk, helped someone out by doing one of their chores, smiled all day, and made others laugh by telling a joke! I hope you are ready for your next challenge! Today, I challenge you to write a letter or draw a picture thanking your mail carrier. These men and women bring you and your family mail every day...even when its raining, snowing, and cold outside! Although this is their job, it is still nice to hear that you're appreciated! In your letter, you can even include one of your positive messages from your chalk challenge last week! Enjoy your day! Ms. LaMorte Happy Friday!
I hope everyone was able to enjoy the nice weather yesterday! I was happy to be able to take a nice walk, feel the cool breeze, and see the sun shining! I also saw a few chalk drawings on my walk which made me smile! My challenge for you today is to make someone laugh by telling a joke...or two! I encourage you to be creative and make up your own, but I will also include websites with jokes so that you can get some ideas! https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/life/parenting/g28581033/best-jokes-for-kids/?slide=4 https://parade.com/968634/parade/jokes-for-kids/ I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I will be back on Monday with another challenge for you! Ms. LaMorte Hello again!
I hope that you all are having a wonderful start to your morning! Were you able to help someone out by doing an extra chore yesterday? If you were able to, I bet it was much appreciated! Your challenge for today is to SMILE! When we smile, we actually feel happier and it can make others smile as well! Smile at everyone you see today whether that be at your family members or neighbors! It looks like it is going to be a nice day today, so try to get outside and get some fresh air! Talk to you all soon! Ms. LaMorte Good Morning St. Bede Students!
I hope that you all had a good night's sleep and are ready to work today! If you were able to participate in yesterday's challenge, I am sure your teachers were very surprised to receive your letters of appreciation! Many of you may have chores to do each day like making your bed, cleaning up your toys, taking out the garbage, or doing the dishes. You also may have a sibling who has chores as well. Today's challenge is to do a chore for someone else whether it be for your sibling, parent, grandparent, or someone else living in your home! Surprise them by doing one of their chores as well as your own! Good luck with your challenge, and I will check in with you tomorrow! Ms. LaMorte Hi everyone!
I hope that you were able to get outside yesterday, enjoy the little bit of sunshine that we had, and brighten up your neighborhood with some kind words and phrases! The challenge for today is to send a Thank You letter to one of your teachers! You can write it on paper, take a picture, and send it to your teacher's email address, or you can type the letter as an email itself. Your teachers are working so hard, and now would be a great time to surprise them with some letters of appreciation! Keep working hard, and I will be back tomorrow with Wednesday's Kindness Challenge! Ms. LaMorte Happy Monday!
Are you ready for your first challenge? The sun is shining today, so take some time to get outside (with permission of course!) and use chalk to draw or write some uplifting messages on your driveway or sidewalk! Enjoying some fresh air and spreading some positivity, can't beat that! I hope you all make the best of today, and I will check in tomorrow with your next challenge! Ms. LaMorte Hi everyone! I hope you all are staying healthy, working hard, and using this time to spend it with those who are important to you at home! Even if you cannot physically be with them, sending an email, text message, or FaceTiming one another can help you feel and stay connected!
As we continue to learn from home, I will be challenging you to a random act of kindness each day! When we do something nice for others, we also feel happier in return! Be sure to check back Monday 3/30 for your first challenge! I miss you all, and I hope to see you soon! -Ms. LaMorte |
