Hi St. Bede Students!
Today is the last day in April, and you all have been doing such a great job! Keep it up! For your kindness challenge today, ask an adult to help with cooking dinner! If your family is not cooking dinner tonight and your getting takeout (which is just as good!), offer to set the table! I hope to see you all at the Parade tomorrow! Ms. LaMorte Hi!
Today is such a rainy and cloudy day, so I am hoping that spreading some kindness around will cheer everyone up! My kindness challenge for you today is to call a friend or family member and share with them your favorite memory that you have with them. Then ask them to share a favorite memory as well! If you're calling an older family member, you can even ask them what their favorite childhood memory is! Have an awesome day everyone! Ms. LaMorte Hi Everyone!
I hope everyone is having a great day! I'm not sure if you have heard yet, but St. Bede is having a Drive By Car Parade Friday! The staff at St. Bede and I cannot wait to see you all! So for your kindness challenge today, make a sign to bring to the parade! Remember, it is a drive by parade, so you will be in your car with a trusting adult! As you drive by us, you can hold out your sign and wave! I hope to see you all there! Ms. LaMorte Happy Monday!
It is such a beautiful day outside! I hope you are able to enjoy the nice weather after doing some school work! Today's kindness challenge is to create a poster or sign to put in your window thanking essential workers! Make sure you ask an adult in your house if it is okay to put the sign in your window! Be creative and take your time! Have a wonderful day! Ms. LaMorte Happy Friday!
For today's kindness challenge, I would like for you to pick your favorite book and share it with someone! After you have finished reading your favorite book (ask for help if needed!), talk about why it is your favorite. You can also ask the person you shared it with what their favorite part of the book was! Next week will be the last week of kindness activities. I have enjoyed sharing these with you, and I hope you enjoyed spreading some kindness around! Enjoy the weekend! I'll be back Monday! Ms. LaMorte Hello!
I hope everyone is starting their day on a positive and grateful note! Yesterday your challenge was to say "Thank You" as often as you can! Today, I am going to challenge you to spread joy around your house by using post-it notes (or any paper you may have) to write some positive messages or to draw a picture on. Some examples of sayings you can use include: "Today is going to be a great day!", "You're Awesome!", "Thanks for being YOU!". Place these notes in places to surprise your family. Some places you can place these notes are on your refrigerator, on the kitchen cabinet, by the remote control, or in someone's room! These are just some ideas, but be creative! Keep doing your best! You're doing GREAT! Ms. LaMorte Hi St. Bede Students!
I have a new kindness challenge for you today! Are you ready? Today I would like for you to try and use the words "Thank You" as much as you can! Sometimes we may take small acts for granted like passing food at the dinner table or helping with homework. So when someone does something for you today, remember to say "Thank You!". Enjoy the rest of your day, St. Bede! Ms. LaMorte Hi!
I hope everyone's morning is off to a great start! I hope that you all are continuing to work hard and are checking in with your teachers! Today's kindness challenge is to clean up without being asked! You can do this in many different ways! You might pick up all of your toys when you are done playing. You might clear the table when everyone is done eating or you might clean up your room! Try it out, and see how surprised your family is when you do something without being asked! Have a great day everyone! Ms. LaMorte Welcome back everyone!
I hope everyone was able to enjoy their Easter Break! I know our break ended with some very disappointing news that we would not be returning to school this year. I know hearing the news made me feel sad to know that I will not be able to see you all in the hallway, during lunch, and outside at recess. It is okay to feel sad, disappointed, angry, or confused. I think many of us are feeling the very same way. For your kindness challenge today, I am challenging you to ask a friend, family member, teacher, or another individual in your life how they are doing. Really take the time to listen to how they're feeling and then share how you are feeling, too. As I have said before, I am available if you would like to talk as well! Have a wonderful day, and I will have your next challenge for you tomorrow! Ms. LaMorte Hi!
I just wanted to say how proud I am of everyone! This has been a challenging time to be away from school, our friends, teachers, and some of our family members, but you all are making the best out of this! Every time you participate in one of the kindness activities, you're showing others that the world is full of caring and thoughtful people! You have been doing so much for others and working so hard that I think today is the perfect time to celebrate YOU! For today's challenge, I would like for you to compliment yourself! Give yourself 3 compliments! Try to come up with something other than what you can see on the outside. Think about what kind of person you are, what makes you special, and what you can offer the world! Write them down and post them somewhere where you can see them every day! Maybe post it by your mirror or next to your closet. Post them somewhere where it can remind you of how AWESOME you are! I will be checking back in after Easter Break with some new challenges! Enjoy your Easter Break! Take some time to relax, do something that you enjoy, maybe catch up on some assignments if needed, and continue to be kind! Ms. LaMorte |
